However, other studies
found higher total oryzanol levels, notably reports of 3894–
5911 lg/g (Min et al., 2011) and 2483–4057 lg/g (Leardkamolkarn
et al., 2011) in bran extracts of different black rice varieties. These
results are in keeping with previous studies which demonstrated
that rice bran has the highest polyphenol content (Chi et al.,
2007; Kim et al., 2010).
