It is important to note, however, the study does not take into consideration mime strategies and stalling or time gaining strategies, which is among the compensatory strategies proposed by Dörnyei (1995). These strategies are nonverbal strategies such as using fillers or hesitation devices to fill pauses and to gain time to think, such as "well, ummm, now let's see".
