This genetic variation was mostly contributed by the repeat sequences of the hexapeptide, tetrapeptide
and dipeptide, respectively present in the TRAP proteins in the isolates of India and Bangladesh. Also, length polymorphisms of 2193–2373 bp (due to deletions and insertions of repeat sequences) in the TRAP cDNAs of different B. gibsoni isolates and contributing to their genetic variability have been reported in the database globally.
