Lutz Winkler is a leader of CoMiRo—Collective and Micro-
Robotics lab at Institute of Process Control and Robotics,
KIT, Karlsruhe, Germany. His research is focused on
simulation of multi-robot systems, locomotion generation,
reconfiguration and motion planning of modular robots.
He is author of Robot3D physical simulator that provides
simulation of modular robots. In his lab, the modular
robots CoSMO have been developed within EU FP7
projects Symbrion/Replicator.
