Some of us have already departed for a well-earned rest, and may not have heard the all hands this morning with Carl.

Just to update you that the discussions with Telstra are ongoing – I don’t have any other news but I hope for more information in the next 24 hrs. If there is a transaction I do believe it will to the benefit and the longer term good for Pacnet and its staff. As you are all aware a deal of this kind will require planning and significant thought in its execution, which will take time. I don’t predict anything too drastic will occur operationally in the immediate term. This means we will need your continued focus over the holidays and into Q1 – we still have targets to hit! If there are any questions please feel free to drop me a note and I’ll try my best to answer.

We have had a busy year (again!) operationally. ONT is tasked with keeping the business running on a daily basis, which we have done with great success, the second half of the year was a serious challenge to us all, the Network issues really stretched ourselves and our customers at times, much was down to issues out of our direct control, thank you for stepping up and keeping all the pieces together and still delivering the services on time.

I am confident we have hit all of our ONT 2014 targets, the final ebitda (SG&A OAM etc) numbers should meet the business expectations, which goes a long way to meeting all our bonus targets (currently on track for ~ 95-97%) again thank you for your due diligence and patience in this regard.

Lastly – let’s hope for a quiet festive season! keep your eyes and ears open for updates, and of course any operational issues that may need your support. Enjoy the time off you have. Special thanks to those of us in operations who will work over the holidays or be on standby to do so if needed.
