Method
As part of the formative evaluative process for didactic and portions of the senior-level PMHN courses, student routinely complete online, anonymous midterm evaluations. No points toward the final grade are given for these evaluations, but students are encouraged to participate. Institutional review board approval from the participating university was obtained to collect and analyze specific student comments on their perception of the videorecorded simulation assignment during the midterm evaluation, as well as other feedback on the PMHN didactic and clinical courses. The effectiveness of the videorecorded simulation assignment was evaluated by faculty solely by student responses to the questions posed on the midterm evaluation.
