Dear Khun Somboon,
I am delighted to invite you to our private lunch discussion which will focus on the key drivers of success for the region’s conglomerates.
In many parts of the world conglomerates have lost their luster and divested; but in Southeast Asia conglomerates are thriving, in defiance of conventional business theory. Not only are they outperforming conglomerates in developed markets, they are consistently delivering higher shareholder value than companies in the region that focus on a single business.
So why is it that they fare so well against their counterparts? We analyzed corporate performance data over a ten-year period of 50 large, publicly-listed conglomerates from across Southeast Asia, including family and state-owned enterprises, and found that what sets them apart first and foremost is an ability to adapt as the underlying economy matures.
We look forward to sharing our insights from the research: why conglomerates are doing so well, what differentiates the best from the rest and, most importantly, what leaders are doing to stay ahead.
We hope you can join us at this event for lunch and a lively discussion. Please confirm your attendance by 6th July by using the buttons below or by writing to
