It is well known that increasing memory improves the
processing speed. However, its effect on CPU temperature
has not been investigated, particularly under a heavy
computational load where a CPU cooling fan failure could
occur. This is obviously important, since excessive
temperature rises in a CPU of a computer may cause freezeups
and, in some cases, CPU failures. For this reason, it is
important to identify all possible factors that could lead to
