The first thing to do when you notice fear creeping in to your body is to do abdominal breathing. To do this breathe in for a count of 5, then hold for 5, breathe out for 5, and finally keep the breath out for a count of 5. This puts you in a state of relaxation immediately. You want to make sure that your abdomen is rising with each inhale because you are purposefully breathing the air into the lower part of your abdomen.
