of production and imports to cover the requirements of the strategic crops for Egyptian citizens related to population
growth. It presents the difference between the available and the required amounts of food and shows the excess and
shortage that should be covered to overcome the status of food insecurity. The results showed that Egypt will face a
great problem in the availability of wheat and beans as production and imports will not cover the needs since they are
considered the staple food in Egyptian daily diet, but Egypt could cover the needs of rice through decreasing the
amount of exports as the production of rice exceeds the Egyptians needs. The researchers and consultants in FSIC
agreed and admitted that the study's findings are going to be helpful, more accurate and reliable than their traditional
statistical ways for their decisions making.
