The following night was the KBS Gayo Daekchuje. I was pretty anxious since it was the girls’ first public performance in South Korea, and on South Korean television, as eight members. And on a more personal note, I was feeling wary as well, since it was inevitable that Nichkhun would bump into Tiffany once more, especially since 2PM and SNSD would go on stage one after the other.
To be honest, at this point, I was growing tired of it. I was growing tired of the uncertainties and the potential drama these could cause. But that didn’t mean that I would give up and stop finding ways to continually fight for Tiffany’s love. The difficult part was preventing myself from doing something stupid in that fight for her love, especially since Nichkhun was being more aggressive about earning back her love.
“I know that look,” Jenny sunbae whispered.
“It’s as if I can do anything about it,” I exhaled, “I certainly can’t go around restricting Tiffany’s movements so that she can avoid him,” and then directed my sights at the girls being interviewed, acting all silly in front of the camera, “That’ll be too obvious and would certainly won’t make any sense at all.”
“How you keep it all under control is so beyond me,” she patted my back, “Even if you know that you’re secure in your relationship with her, I can imagine how hard it must be for you to see others thinking that they ought to get back together.”
“I’m actually more worried about Tiffany herself,” I replied, “She has to put up with all of this, all publicly,” and then looked down on the floor as I shuffled my feet, “She bears the brunt of it all, not me,” and then proceeded to tell Jenny sunbae what happened the first time they were put together earlier that year for that special episode of MBC Music Core, and then on the plane from Hong Kong after MAMA.
“I see…” she nodded, “It’s sad that not even the others can fully shield her from this.”
