4.1. Summary
Individualization and flexibility in the EOR may enhance fairness perceptions for many by increasing feelings of distributive justice and respect for individuals, but may decrease perceptions of consistency (procedural justice), informational justice, and equity from the point of view of coworkers. The need for careful implementation of i-deals is apparent. Table 1 provides a summary of the potential effects of individualization on fairness; Table 2 considers the potential practical implications of this trend.
