Across Gel card contains polymerized dextran microspheres
(gel) which function as a filter within the buffer solution in
all microtubes on the card. The dextrans are mixed with
a reagent that contains specific antibodies, anti-human
globulin.
During the centrifugation of the cards, red blood cells
agglutinates collected on the gel surface and throughout
the length of the column according to their sizes. Nonagglutinated
red blood cells go to the bottom of the
microtube.
