we have demonstrated that luminescent quantum efficiency of the Eu organometallic complex can be enhaned by embedding chemically-synthesized A-Au NPs into PEDOT:PSS layer. The improvement of the PL intensity is due to the plasmonic near field coupling of A-Au NPs with the radiation energy of the phosphorescence of Eu3+ ions. Mean-while,it is significant that the present work was carried out in the same structure as the conventional OLEDs stack using solution processing. These characteristics are encouraging for future application to highly-efficient,solution-processable Eu-based OLEDs with good color purity from the perspective of enhancing typically low external quantum efficiency.
