Of the three SEPALLATA genes, only MgAGL2 showed
some expression also in young leaves (Fig. 3D). Significant
transcript amounts of all three genes were observed in
tepals and both female and male reproductive structures, the
latter corresponding to maximum values in the case of
MgAGL2 and MgSEP3. The maximum transcript amount
for MgAGL9 was found in the fully ripe sarcotesta (Fig. 3,
D, E, and F).
