At the last Committee meeting we all agreed that having a Fire Drill would be in the best interests of everyone at WaterMark. However, I was certainly not convinced that the PCS team had enough of a grasp of what was being proposed in the quotation which was not helped by it being entirely in Thai. Moreover, I do not think anyone was convinced that the PCS team understood that the Fire Drill was not only about training the staff but should go much further and be a part of a more comprehensive "Policy" regarding such things as who are the fire marshals, the duties and responsibilities of staff as well as residents in the case of fire, the testing of the fire alarms and, finally, but by no least in importance, the evacuation plans.
If I remember correctly we tasked PCS with answering at least some of these questions before we commit to a "Fire Drill". Or, in other words, draw up a plan for the Fire Drill itself (as a minimum requirement for now) so that we can approve it and get ready for the chosen day. In the process, of course, notifying residents of these plans and telling them what to do when the alarms go off. For example - not to ignore them and complain about the noise instead!
The fire drill is important so let's get moving on this. There should also be a comprehensive "What to do in case of a Fire at WaterMark" manual prepared and ready for reference.
