In the present study, the occurrence of abruptio placentae
was higher in women with high parity and multigravid as
compared to nulliparous or primigravid women. These results
are in line with many previous studies [24, 25, 34–38],
but was in contrast with findings of Sanchez and colleagues
[21] who observed that neither of these factors
were associated with abruptio placentae.
