The changes in microbial counts in the rhizosphere soil showed
similar trends (Tables 1 and 2), although the values were generally lower than those in the rhizoplane soils. For example, the total
counts of bacteria and actinomycota in treatment BIOIIn + BIOIIp
were 170% and 72% lower in the rhizosphere soil than those in
rhizoplane soil (Table 2).
