Tetrahedral and octahedral elements were meshed to produce 3D models. First, threaded implants were modeled by identifying the ex- act location of the nodes after mathematical calculations by considering the inclinations of the threads. In this way, nodes were defined one-by-one, and then the vol- umes were defined by neighboring nodes. Each model contained 1 or 2 threaded implants, an abutment,
a metal-ceramic crown, a layer of cement between the abutment and crown, cancellous bone, cortical bone, and gingiva. Figures 2 through 4 illustrate the 3 models, and Figure 5 illustrates the threaded surface of the im- plants.
