Conclusions. Implications and Recommendations for Education
General-Conclusions
The following three conclusions were made from the
results of phase one and phase two of the primary and
secondary study.
1. An individual with disorders in learning can grow
in cognition, creativity and psychomotor skills with
regular art education instruction using teaching
strategies that encourage higher-thinking skills with
limited modifications.
2. An individual with disorders in learning can
perform in art at the same level with individual
I differences in rate and achievement as a nondisabled
student.
3. Art educators must stop viewing students with
disabilities as functionally handicapped and give them
the opportunity to become truly active learners and
