We would like our au pair to be part of the family and to feel at home; to get stuck in to family life, and to show initiative.
You would have your own car which you can use whenever you like, and you need to be confident about driving the children safely.
Every Monday to Wednesday I work full-time so those days will be busier - Mondays I work from home, so will be around, but Tuesdays and Wednesdays I commute into London so will be gone from 8am until 7pm, but Luke's mother will be around. I work Thursday and Friday mornings, but from home, so those days are much more relaxed.
We would like you to give the children breakfast Monday-Wednesday, and then entertain the children taking them to playgroups etc, we have lots of fun things to do in the area.
Orla will be starting school in September in the village, so she will be at school from 9am to 3pm and will need dropping off and picking up Monday to Wednesday. Ralph will start 1 morning a week at nursery in September, and then from January 3 mornings a week, so there will be plenty of time for you to do a course or your studies.
You need to give the children lunch and supper Monday to Wednesday, and to entertain them in the afternoons - walking the dogs, playing in the garden. A little cooking for the children would be great, but not entirely necessary.
We would like you to help with the laundry and keeping the house tidy, though we have a cleaner to do the majority of the housework. We would like you to babysit for us from time to time too please. I'm pretty flexible though, so if you needed time off for a long weekend away, that wouldn't be a problem.
We need someone to start at the beginning of July so you could cross over with our current au pair, Sydney, who leaves to return to the States on the 7th July (she has been with us for just over a year, and is lovely). She can then show you the ropes. We live not far from Stansted Airport (20 mins).
Any questions, do please ask and I hope to hear from you soon and look forward to welcoming you into our family.
