I am proposing a hiring freeze as a way to cut expenses . I know that some people believe that layoffs are a quick way to save money. I think layoffs have more disadvantages than advantages. The biggest disadvantages would be employee morale. Our staff is too important. So, as staff retires or leaves the company , we would not replace them. We would find ways to do our work with the employees we have. I suggest that we meet and talk about my proposal at our next meeting
