I agree with Allison Graham and her view on how social media makes us unsocial. In this day and age, social media has become a huge part of everyone’s life, and ironically, social media has made us more unsocial. An example is when we go out with our friends, and all of us are seating having lunch and scrolling though Instagram, or talking to someone on WhatsApp. Even dating has become more computerized, when we like someone, we do not even bother to go up and tell them, instead we go online to Instagram and directly send a message there.
Social media has made us all very self-involved, and all we care about is if the picture we posted gained likes, or if our twitter post has any retweets. Social media has become a tool that is the only place we actually socialize with people, making us lose on ability to have a real conversation with someone face to face.
Hence, like Allison Graham said, “I think we should have a hand to hold rather than keys to click”. We should all learn to socialize with others outside of social media, and actually connect with people.
