Now is your chance to get ready for a great funding opportunity!
The YSEALI Seeds for the Future Grants Competition will award grants of up to $10,000 for each YSEALI theme (Civic Engagement, Education, Economic Development, and Environmental Protection). Conditions for the grant are as follows:

Project must take place in at least two ASEAN member countries;
Do good work across ASEAN. Plan for your public service project to take place in at least two ASEAN member countries.
You must be a YSEALI member and alum to submit a proposal online. [Note: Other team members can comprise non YSEALI and non-alumni.] The grants webpage will go live on July 15.
Winners will be announced in September.
Get started today!
Find team members in other ASEAN countries. Your team should have at least four members, and the team should have citizens from two or more ASEAN countries. Partner with U.S. government alumni. Find two alumni partners, if you have not previously participated in a U.S. government (USG) sponsored exchange program. Why? Because they are a great resource! Alumni have received training, have experience writing proposals or have implemented projects.
Are you a USG Alum?
If you have participated in a USG exchange program, you will receive a separate email with details on the proposal submission process. Get started today.
Start developing your idea into a winning proposal.
Once the grants application opens online in July, you will have two weeks to upload your proposal.
During that time you can continue to look for other team members, but you should have a proposal ready to submit by August 1, when the application process closes.
Review the application format to get an idea of how to shape your proposal. We will offer twitter chats with knowledge experts to help you develop your ideas.
We look forward to hearing from you and we look forward to receiving your proposals!
