The current study revealed that water stress had a significant effect on the three nutrient elements including potassium, phosphorus and nitrogen in the seeds of sunflower (Table 1). The results showed that water stress increased the concentration of P and N in seeds, but this increase was only up to W2 treatment. With the continued rise in water stress level, the concentration of these elements was decreased (Table 2). Unlike these two elements with increasing water stress levels from control (W1) to W3, the concentration of potassium in seeds was reduced (Table 2).
