More recently, Cunningham et al. (2000) isolated from hemolymphatic of the black widow Latrodectus mirabilis two
lipoprotein fractions with densities corresponding to HDLs and
similar characteristics to HDL-1 and HDL-2 from P. pythagoricus.
L. mirabilis HDL-1, which has a density of 1.13 g/mL and
contains 20% of lipids, carries 80% of the total hemolymphatic
lipids, and its concentration is 6.06 mg/mL hemolymph.
