As we know, in Buddhism, human destiny is fundamentally linked to karma and the lack of a true self.
So in a sense, from a Buddhist perspective, trying to divine our futures or the interaction of underlying energies in the world could just be a form of distraction from the task of ridding ourselves of attachment to the world.
As one can see, then, Confucianism and Daoism, and more broadly the early Chinese conception of the cosmos and out destiny, is somewhat different from Buddhism.
