Moreover, she developed an
enthusiasm for her work inside her unit. Helen
developed a good relationship with her colleagues,
often bringing gifts of food and sharing family
pictures with them. At one point, she said, “We are
like family. I hope I can work here for good.” One day,
the unit manager called for a volunteer to take charge
of an intensive care unit training course for the entire
hospital staff. This task required much time and effort
in planning the course curriculum and arranging for
instructors. Helen volunteered for the opportunity,
and, in time, the training course was successful
because of Helen’s efforts.
