Luxembourg is our home base and the main hub of our worldwide flight operations and European road feeder services.
Luxembourg airport offers uncongested air space and a modern infrastructure. With its warehouse capacity of 85,500 m3 and annual cargo transit capacity of 950,000 tonnes, the Luxair CargoCenter is the 8th largest air cargo hub on the continent.
Customers passing through Luxembourg benefit from direct highway connections to the European motorway network, allowing fast transport to all major European distribution centers. Your shipments will avoid the congested metropolitan areas of the larger European airports and reach their destination faster.
Luxembourg’s Cargo Center features multiple facilities for handling perishable goods, including at sub-zero temperatures, and a flower vacuum cooler. A fully equipped animal station is also available, as well as facilities for handling dangerous goods, high-value shipments or outsize commodities.
Shippers who import their goods into the European Union through Luxembourg also benefit from the Grand-Duchy’s advantageous tax environment, whereby, among other aspects, no VAT down-payment is required upon receipt of the goods. Instead, payment of the tax is shifted to the VAT return.
