NAKHON SI THAMMARAT, 23 August 2016 (NNT) – The Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives is encouraging related agencies to help push forward the Pak Phanang Basin development and uphold royal initiatives as development guidelines.
Assistant Secretary of the MOAC Ratana Sawwamichai has revealed that the MOAC's related agencies are asked to help with the development of Pak Phanang Basin under the 2017-2021 strategy, focusing on increasing employment and income among the general public.
He has said all agencies should adopt guidelines from the royal initiatives of Their Majesties the King and Queen, as well as Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, on the development of Pak Phanang Basin.
The Pak Phanang Basin area is more than 2 million rai, with low quality soil that cannot be used to yield any profit. A campaign under royal initiative has been launched to help develop the land, creating employment and generating income to the local people,
and to improve water sources and irrigation in order to revitalize the land for future usage.
