The research model for this study is presented in Fig. 1. As previously mentioned, the current study advances the 5Es in festival experience for Gen Y (Rivera et al., 2015b). The constructs used in the model include: education, entertainment, escapism, esthetics, and economic value (5Es). These constructs are considered predictors of memorable festival experiences, and memorable festival experiences are considered an antecedent for Gen Y tourists’ eWOM for the festival and/or destination.
