All together, results obtained from the present experiment demonstrated that it can be expected to obtain transfer-quality embryos via insemination of susceptible cows with infected semen, but some proportion of the embryos might be associated with the infectious virus. In the second part of the study, embryos were transferred to susceptible recipients to determine the risk of disease transmission to ET recipients and offspring. From the practical point of view, this experiment revealed an important sanitary fact that such embryos were not infectious for recipients and developing fetuses and resulted in healthy offspring after ET.
