Where to Get Information Information about tourism in Thailand can be obtained from various sources: The Tourism Authority of Thailand (AT, leading hotels and provincial offices. As for the TAT the headquarters are now located in main Building on Petchburi Road, Mukkasan with four more tourist information centers in different parts of Bangkok. They are at Donmuang Airport, on Ratchadamnoen Nok Avenue, Khaosan Road and also at the Jatujak Weekend Market. Apart from these, the TAT also provided twenty-two regional ofices throughout the country For the convenience of tourists, service is provided everyday from 08.30 a.m. to midnight at the centers in both of the terminal buildings at Donmuang Airport, and between 08.30 a.m. to 04.30 p.m. at the center on Ratchadamnoen Nok. Furthermore, the Khaosan Tourist Center offers around the clock service whereas the center at Jatujak is open between 09.00 a m. to 05.00 pm. on weekends. There is comprehensive information about sightseeing opportunities, food and facilities in every area of Thailand, major events, and festivals all year round and how to get there. In leading hotels, tourists can get a free magazine with similar information focusing on the local and/or the regional areas. At provincial offices, the information tends to be more in-depth and about the local areas only. The TAT has an active role in the tourism industry especially in marketing. Attractive, well illustrated pamphlets and information and advertising promotions are sent to offices in the country and the world. These materials are bulletins, films, TV and radio programs.
