Although the mean length is approximately the same for the un-
treated (4.26 ± 0.05 cm) and treated seeds (4.34 ± 0.02 cm), so the
means are not significantly different (p = 0.31), it can be observed
that the distribution is narrower for the seeds exposed to plasma. In
the case of control seeds the width of the distribution (full width at
half maximum, FWHM) was 1.22 ± 0.12 cm, while the FWHMwas ap-
proximately half of this value in the case of the treated samples (0.62±
0.03 cm). This suggests that the plant growth is more uniform for the
treated seeds.
