Conclusions
Both the breakage kinetics and calcium release of fish bone
during ball milling were significantly affected by thermal treatments.
Increasing heating temperature remarkably decreased the
mechanical parameters, destructed the microstructure, and thus
improved the breakage rate and calcium release of fish bone during
ball milling. However, increasing heating time minimally affected
breakage kinetics and calcium release during ball milling, though
the microstructure and mechanical properties of fish bone were
