Dear Mr. Pornchai Tangboon-auksorn,
RE: THONGCHAI INDUSTRY COMPANY LTD - 671992104
GM has made a commitment to achieve excellence in supply chain management. To that extent, we are requesting information from our suppliers to help us manage our continuity of supply more effectively. The objective of this effort is to improve global supply chain visibility so that we can proactively assess and mitigate our risk exposure while reacting and recovering quickly when disruptive events occur around the globe.
As you are likely aware, the MMOG/LE Version 4 assessment has been updated with current automotive supply chain best practices. A major part of the Version 4 update was the addition of sub-chapter 2.5: Risk Assessment and Management. In alignment with the criteria laid out in sub-chapter 2.5, we ask that you provide GM Tier 2 location information by returning the attached Tier 2 Visibility Survey. GM’s Tier 2 Visibility Survey asks for the name and addresses of all manufacturing sites and warehouses providing content on the GM parts your facility produces. This is a minimum level of detail that all suppliers should have available to provide GM. This expectation has been added to the GM1700 Global Supply Chain Requirements document, which can be found on GMSupplyPower.com.
By achieving compliance to sub-chapter 2.5 you are not only ahead of others in the industry, it shows your company continually strives for outstanding customer satisfaction, which is greatly appreciated.
Please send the completed supply chain visibility survey to risk.management@gm.com.
In addition, please submit an updated contact form, also attached, unless you have done so during calendar year 2016.
Thank you in advance for supporting this effort to build a stronger, more resilient supply chain.
Regards,
GSC Risk Management Team
