The FL for the most-often reported plants respondents used, however, varied from 12.7% for P. thouarsiana (caries) to 51.4% for C. cajan (oral hygiene), possibly indicating that respondents used different plants for the same purpose. Table 4 also shows the regional variability in the ICF and the FL. For example, the ICF varied from 0.27 for cellulitis to 0.80 for oral hygiene in the region of Sofia, and the ICF for dental caries ranged from 0.42 (Melaky) to 0.79 (Sofia). The FL also varied by region, with C. cajan used for cellulitis in Sofia at 6.3%, the use of Barleria lupulina Lindl for halitosis in Boeny at 100%, and at 100% for the use of P. thouarsiana for wound after extraction in Sofia. In fact, the use of FL by region in this study is statistically unreliable because there were few respondents where it was 100%.
