as defined by OSHA (appendix a of 29 CFR 1910.1200), a substance with either, a median lethal does (LD50) of more than 50 mg/kg but not more than 500 mg/kg of body weight administered orally, a median lethal does (LD50) of more than 200 mg/kg but not more than 1000 mg/kg of body weight when administered by continuous contact with the bare skin of rabbits, or a median lethal concentration (LC50) in air of more than 200 parts per million but not more than 2000 parts per million by volume of gas or vapor, or more than 2 mg/L but not more than 20 mg/L of mist, fume,or dust, when administered by continuous inhalation for one hour.
