1. Overview
The NGII (National Geographic Information Institute) is a national organization which produces, manages and provides various geographic information of our country such as national control points and national base maps with establishing and operating of policy and system in GIS and surveying and mapping as well.
NGII has conducted GPS surveys, leveling, aerial photography surveys, remote sensing and mapping to build national spatial reference system. NGII has provided rapid and accurate information on various fields in topography and geography acquired from surveys to our customers by systematizing and organizing.
In the future, NGII will manage all information which is newly collected and acquired from aerial photograph and space imaging in database system, and provide to customers. If the circulation of geographic information is spread out, industries (GIS, ITS, transportation, leisure, travel etc) will be developed. It leads to improves people's welfare.
