The cultivar K326 was used as the standard for comparison in all trials. Rows were 1.22 m apart and plants within rows were 56 or 61 cm apart. Plots consisted of five rows with 22 plants per row. End plants of each row were cut down just prior to the first harvest. All plots were treated the same at each location regarding cultural practices such as fertilization, chemical sucker control, cultivation, and pest control.
