Susan Kent's newest edited volume from Cambridge investigates domestic architecture and use of space from an anthropological perspective. The central theme of the volume is the relationship between human behavior and the building environment. Each author addresses the extent to which the central behavior shapes architecture and, relatedly, the degree to which the built environment influences and reproduces the central milieu. There is an emphasis on archaeological case studies, but cross-cultural and ethnographic case studies do add an important synchronic viewpoint to the volume.
