The topic I’d like to discuss today is “Are we responsible?”. In dictionary “Responsible” is defined as making good decisions and caring for others or means liable to be required to give account, as of one's actions or of the discharge of a duty or trust.
In my opinion I disagree with Abraham Lincoln who said that “Every person is responsible for his own looks after 40.” Because I think people who are a citizen of the world need to have a public responsibility since we were born. In our lives we must responsible for ourselves, for our family, for our duty, for our country and for our world.
For the first example we need to be save energy because energy is running out and energy consumption contributes to air pollution such as global warming, melts polar ice and etc. We should decrease an energy using in every family. Close the air conditions when you leave off, cycling instead of car and recycling used bottles, paper, etc.
For the second example we need to be responsible for families such as making sure children go to school or taking care of the elderly.
And then we need to be responsible for all duties which is especially important for everyone. Swami Vivekananda said, "what are we are responsible for, and we ourselves wish to be whatever, we have the power to make ourselves If what we now are." has been the result of our own past actions, it certainly follows that whatever we wish to be in the future can be produced by our present actions; so we have to know how to act.". So I couldn’t agree more for him.
To sum up, I think “You are not only responsible for what you say, but also for what you don’t say” and I believe that I have a responsible for my life. I’m sure.
