Ice floats in water. That means ice is lighter than water. So wateris denser than ice.
Water is heavier than ice of the same volume.
Ice has more volume than water of the same weight.
Dear Khun Jor,
Please correct me if I am wrong. I thought liquid is different from gas because liquid will not change volume under pressure. That is how we can use hydraulic pump. So I should be able to assume that water will not change volume due to pressure. I agree that water density changes with temperature but I do not know if it changes with pressure.
