Water resources consist primarily of surface and ground water resources, with treated wastewater being used on an increasing scale for irrigation, mostly in the Jordan Valley. Renewable fresh water resources are estimated at about (850) million cubic meters (MCM) per year, including water added by the Peace Treaty. About (125) MCM per year is expected to be available from fossil aquifers and through desalination. Making the annual freshwater stock about 1 billion meter cubic per year, Figure (3.1).
