The protestants stated that censorship was not the way to deal with this problem since it suppressed (limited) the right to free speech.
However, they agreed, of course, that the culprits should be firmly punished and that such strong action would itself serve as a deterrent for other students who might think of doing this again.
About 90 percent of the faculty feedback was negative.
The students were less vehement, but they too were clearly opposed to this censorship policy.
