We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to lead the Quality Operations group within Corporate Quality Assurance. This individual will help lead the development and implementation of new strategies to broaden and improve the value and functionality of the team into a full service quality function for Dart. Your vision, direction and technical experience are vitally needed to achieve our quality initiatives.
Reporting to the Director, Corporate Quality Assurance, the Quality Operations Manager position will manage three teams including: Quality Systems, Analysis and Reporting, Laboratory Operations, and Quality Engineering while also providing matrix management to international and domestic quality laboratories. The planning horizon is typically 0-24 months with an emphasis on successfully executing large programs and customer service initiatives. Working with their Director, plans are developed for future project, customer service initiatives, and employee development strategies. The Quality Operations Manager must also:
Manage the Engineering Quality Operations Group, provide proactive leadership and employee development to achieve Dart’s goals in activities related to Corporate Quality Assurance responsibilities
Provide and oversee the maintenance and improvement of Dart's existing quality assurance capabilities, equipment and processes
Provide matrix management to Plant Quality Control managers throughout all of Dart’s plants, both internationally and domestically while assuring adherence to standards
Promote and expand statistical problem solving techniques
Support the establishment of supplier quality engineering and advance quality engineering
Develop Corporate Quality reporting and opportunities
Coordinate and align Quality laboratory and testing facilities
Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Math, Statistics, Quality or a relevant science discipline, prefer a Master's degree
Requires at least 5 years of experience managing a team of individuals, to include professional and technical employees, in a technical and manufacturing environment, prefer 10 years
Requires at least 10 years of experience in managing technical projects, with demonstrated problem solving skills, and team building initiatives
Requires at least 5 years of experience in Quality Management
Requires at least 5 years of experience with word processing, spreadsheet software and email, preferably MS Word, MS Excel and Lotus Notes
Ability to travel up to 40% percent of the time domestically or internationally
Valid drivers' license and favorable motor vehicle record check
Ability to obtain and maintain a passport
Prefer experience with the professional development of Engineers, Technicians, Designers, and Specialist
Prefer an American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE)
