obese and morbidly obese women can improve pregnancy outcomes
further, but the results are inconsistent, and possible risks associated
with lower GWG or even weight loss have not been identified [16,17].
The aim of the present study was to assess birth weight in relation
to compliance with the IOM GWG recommendations in non obese
and obese pregnant women. Additionally, the occurrence of
macrosomia, pregnancy complications, and adverse pregnancy outcomes
was compared.
