Sor Tawanrung Muay Thai Gym is brought to you by the man behind many legends of Muay Thai, Warakorn Jarasrutaikul and Khun Suwit Rungjerdfha who opened Sor Tawanrung in the year 1999.

Sor Tawanrung translates to “The Sunrise” and like the sun, many stars have been raised at Sor Tawanrung! After raising numerous champions over the years until there wasn’t much left to achieve in the sport, Warakorn aka Kru Dang and his team decided it was time to pursue business interests and took some time out from Muay Thai. Now the old team of Sor Tawanrung has been re-born in a new beautiful location suitable for foreign students wanting a mix of holiday and training as well as it’s stable of active champion Thai fighters.

tatawardIn 2012 Sor Tawanrung Gym won a number of awards, the biggest being the award for best Muay Thai Gym
from the Tourism Authority of Thailand (Pictured left). We also won the award for best Muay Thai management under our main shareholder and ex Lumpinee Champion Kangkendong Detrittra who is in charge of the South Thailand Professional Muay Thai Fighters organisation and a number of other Muay Thai Gyms.

The Muay Thai Gym is located inside the grounds of a luxury fitness center and golf club with round the clock security and is within walking distance to nearby stores, restaurants, entertainment venues and resorts. The nearby resorts range from budget to luxury and for those of you who would like to live in the gym, we have a number of clean, secure rooms with air conditioning onsite. We also have a coffee shop for socializing and hanging out between training. (note the coffee shop and accommodation will be finished in June 2015)
Sor Tawanrung Muay Thai Gym caters for all levels of student and a number of our trainers have vast experience training beginners around the world, mainly Singapore, Japan and Thailand. Some of our older trainers have trained some of the greatest Lumpinee Legends of all time and you can be assured that at Sor Tawanrung Muay Thai, the sky is the limits in how far you will progress as a Muay Thai Fighter!

Many Muay Thai Gym’s around Thailand can boast having ex champions as trainers, not so many can boast having the teachers of champions as trainers accessible to foreign students! Here at Sor Tawanrung we have at least 4 trainers of the old school who can boast training the best of the best, coupled with some younger trainers with more understanding of teaching beginners and foreigners which is a deadly combination for you to reach any goals.

All in all we believe at Sor Tawanrung Muay Thai you will find a perfect mix of Authentic, none diluted Muay Thai Training in a safe and none threatening atmosphere suitable for beginners to advanced with plenty of opportunities to socialize and enjoy a holiday outside of training.
