Iron sulphides are by far the most widespread of all the metal sulphide minerals, often found as
beautiful, pale gold crystals. They form mostly in veins, where hot fluids bring minerals up through
cracks in the ground, and in marine sediments where there is little oxygen present. Iron sulphide grains
end up just about everywhere and are among the most common minerals in soil.
