Duty to Law
Attorneys, or officers of the court, must follow the law set forth by state and federal governments. They must also follow a code of ethics. For instance, they may not exhibit behavior considered harassment in the course of representing a client. In addition, they may not knowingly help a client lie while representing them. Unethical behavior such as an attorney becoming romantically involved with a client is highly discouraged. Furthermore, representing a person in exchange for sexual favors is not acceptable in any state.
